Dyson Straightener Upgrades:
Technology Upgrade: Taking the Dyson Corrale™ straightener as an example, it features the pioneering Flexing Copper Plates™ design. Using precision cutting technology, the alloy plates are crafted to a thickness of 0.8 mm, with the thinnest sections measuring just 0.065 mm. After undergoing nickel plating and a titanium nitride PVD coating process, the plates achieve a smooth, hard surface while maintaining flexible deformation capabilities.
Function Upgrade: The flexible plates gently conform to the shape of the hair, enveloping and gathering strands. This ensures even distribution of pressure and heat, achieving straightening results at 165°C that previously required 210°C with rigid plates on traditional straighteners, thereby reducing damage by 50%. It also offers both corded and cordless operation modes. Equipped with a high-energy 4-cell lithium-ion battery and a charging dock, it provides convenience for use and storage.
Design Upgrade: It incorporates a safety lock. When engaged, the straightener locks into a flat "one" shape, allowing for immediate post-use storage and preventing potential safety hazards or damage to other items from residual heat.
Dyson Hair Dryer Upgrades:
Technology Upgrade: Specific new models, like the Supersonic™ r hair dryer, feature improved heating elements. A small heating grill composed of 99.9% copper microfiber is arranged along the curve of the barrel to ensure high-pressure airflow is heated evenly. It is also equipped with RFID sensors that identify magnetic attachments, automatically adjusting the motor and heater to deliver optimal airflow and temperature. Furthermore, the latest generation dryers incorporate Flyaway technology, utilizing the Coandă effect via specially designed nozzles to reduce hair flyaways.
Function Upgrade: New modes have been added. For instance, the Flyaway attachment offers both Smoothing and Flyaway modes, with 3x more airflow amplification. It dries hair quickly in 4 minutes and helps create glossy styles. Some new dryers feature a Scalp protect mode, which automatically reduces heat and airflow intensity when the dryer is close to the scalp, lowering the temperature to 55°C to protect both the scalp and hair. Additionally, the dryer remembers the last used heat and airflow settings for each styling attachment and applies them automatically upon next use.
Design Upgrade: Models like the Supersonic™ r adopt a submarine periscope-inspired tube design, reducing the weight to just 325 grams – significantly lighter than the original version (560 grams). The air intake at the base of the handle is fitted with a longer-lasting deep HEPA filter that captures airborne pollutants. Nozzle designs have also been optimized: the Styling concentrator is now wider and flatter; the Diffuser disperses airflow more evenly and features longer prongs to accommodate more hair volume during styling.
